It was weird then, when it happened. Later, I was told that I was on the very esteemed company of such men as Keith Shepherd, Raffique Shah and the then-journalist Ken Ali. Yep, the law and I had crossed paths. I was a working journalist.

The matter dragged on for years, and I can joke about my experiences now... especially since it has not hindered me from attaining a US Visa.

I was surprised when Amnesty International took notice of my case... and even more so, when I made it (albeit with a misspelled name) into their annual report.
